Despatch Industries Receives Orders for Carbon Fiber Oxidation Systems

Multiple Chinese firms have placed orders to Despatch Industries for commercial-scale oxidation ovens for carbon fiber production. During carbon fiber production, oxidation plays a major role and Despatch offers an advanced oxidation technology.

The oxidation ovens feature Despatch's innovative Atmosphere Control Energy Reduction (ACER) technology and center-to-ends airflow.

The center-to-ends airflow feature in the oxidation ovens produces steady process conditions as well as consistent temperatures in the processing zones. This ensures the production of oxidized, high density fiber as well as greater production yields by 30%. The ACER technology is the latest air management solution that offers enhanced fiber quality, decreased tar pollution and reduced power consumption.

Global Carbon Fiber Sales Manager, Ken Defiel stated that the carbon fiber market is gaining significant importance in China. Hence, Chinese manufacturers are showing more interest in advanced equipment such as Despatch’s oxidation ovens for potential growth in the Chinese market.
