ASTM Standard Test Proves That Red Shield Coatings Provide Superior Adhesion Ability

EcoBlu Products, a producer of proprietary wood products, has announced the third party test results of Red Shield coatings.

The results prove that the coatings have performed extremely well and meet the requirements of American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM D3359) standards. In addition, the ECOB standard application shows that the Red Shield provides over 95% adhesion capability on the coated surface.

EcoBlu Products’ Red Shield coating adheres more effectively over the wood surface like most primers. Thus, the coating can be used as a paint primer on exterior fascia and trim. The Red Shield is an all-in-one solution that offers protection from termite, fire, wood rot and mold and includes a prime coat, which cost less than the expense of applying a primer on an untreated surface.

EcoBlu Products’ President and CEO, Steve Conboy stated that continuing testing of the company’s products and processes promotes brand growth and the new test results confirm that the company’s products are of high quality.
