As a premier technical sales and instrumentation company dedicated to providing the consultant with field and desk top analytical solutions, Geotechnical Services, Inc. offers the MiniRAE 3000 for sale and for rent. Built by RAE, the MiniRAE 3000 is the state of the art solution to the detection of volatile organic gases. Geotechnical Services, Inc. sells and repairs RAE products.

The MiniRae 3000 is an incredibly stable instrument! I can't believe it. I love our MiniRae 2000 instruments but we recently upgraded to a MiniRae 3000 and I can't believe how stable it is. It nails the cal gas every time and does not fluctuate at all. We choose Rae System products because of their durability and it took us a long time to upgrade because we have been so satisfied with the versions we have. But what a great surprise to see how much solid the new instrument is.

We have 15 plus MiniRae 2000 instruments in our rental pool and we have always been thrilled with their performance. Having been in the rental business for the better part of the past few decades, we understand the importance of an easy to use yet incredibly durable instrument. The MiniRae 2000 has always been a strong work horse for us. It takes its lumps in the field and is easily back into service with a quick cleaning and calibration, ready for the next rental customer. This is one of the reasons we decided long ago to stick with the Rae Systems product line.

Once you have an instrument that is established in your rental pool and is even asked for by name rather than just the type of instrument i.e. PID, it is a bit daunting to think of trading up to something your customer base is less familiar with. By now however, the MiniRae 3000 has been out long enough that people are almost as familiar with it as they are with the 2000 series. We currently have (2) 3000 series MiniRaes in our rental pool and we are excited to add more as the season picks up.

PIDs are notorious for being sensitive to moisture conditions. There have been a lot of advancements made to compensate for this on both versions from Rae Systems. They also provide water trap assembly filters in case you are knowingly going into an environment with high moisture. This is something to think about if you are renting a PID. It can be very useful to you to have a these types of hydrophobic filters available depending on your environment you intend to sample in.

The MiniRae 3000 compensates for moisture better than any PID we have ever seen. It would seem natural that as technology advances, instrumentation would get better and better but this isn't always the case. Over the years, there have been times where the new instrumentation is actually not as good as the old version. You never know which way it is going to go. We are thrilled to find out that even though the MiniRae 2000 is an amazing work horse that can withstand the bumps and bruises in a rental pool, the MiniRae 3000 may prove to be even better.
