JEC Asia Innovation Awards 2011 winners have been declared by JEC Composites. This is an award program held every year by the JEC group that identifies and awards innovative composites applications and processes throughout the Asia Pacific area.
The quick growth pace in Asian countries, such as South Korea, India and China, has virtually out beaten industrial advancements in other regions worldwide resulting in a growing need in Asia for more novel technologies and techniques to be adopted across the value chain of composites especially in sectors such as automotive, aeronautics, transportation, infrastructure and construction.
Fourteen companies along with their partners will be awarded for helping in advancement of composite innovations at JEC Asia 2011. The annual JEC Asia meet will be conducted from October 18 to 20 in Singapore.
According to CEO and JEC Group President, Frédérique Mutel, the awards is a major program conducted by JEC and affirms the fact that research and development of composites are taking place at an extremely rapid pace in Asia. He also stated that it is the JEC Group’s desire that awareness regarding composite advancements is created and Asian companies are in tune with advanced developments in technology.
The JEC innovation award was started in 1998 with the goal of enhancing successful strategies in the composite industry worldwide. The Awards are presented according to the companies’ technical expertise, partnership, market potential, originality and financial impact. The Awards Function will be conducted along with the JEC Asia 2011 that will have a participation of around 7000 visitors from 51 countries and will have exhibits from around 300 companies in the international composites sector.
