Kafrit to Acquire Asstes of Constab's German and UK Plants

A memorandum of understanding has been signed by the directors of their respective companies regarding the acquisition of Constab Additive Polymers by Kafrit International.

The acquisition will involve all the manufacturing assets of Constab Additive Polymers plants in Ruthen, Germany and Portsmouth, Great Britain.

Constab manufactures masterbatches of BOPP and other specialty polypropylene materials at these plants. However, capacity from these plants has been shifted to their subsidiary, Silon a.s. in the Czech Republic.

Kafrit also specialises in manufacturing masterbatches, concentrating on segments such as agricultural, polycarbonate and flame retardants.
