DuPont Forms Photonics Business

DuPont have announced the formation of DuPont Photonics Technologies LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of DuPont Ventures.

DuPont Photonics Technologies is focussed on emerging technologies, in particular the development, manufacture and marketing of planar integrated photonic devices. Such devices are used in the optical networks in the telecommunications industry.

The newly formed business will leverage off existing DuPont expertise in areas of optical polymers and electronics to develop and commercialise these products.
