Azelis to Market and Sell Matrixx Plastic Products Throughout Europe

Matrixx Europe has signed a long term European distribution agreement with specialties distributor, Azelis. Part of the Matrixx Group, established in the US for over 25 years, they are a leading producer of highly specialised plastics compounds.

Francesco Bonizzoni Managing Director of Azelis Plastics said: “Matrixx produce highly specialised compounds such as flame retardants from polyamide, PBT and polypropylene. These very sophisticated products fit well with other engineering plastics that we sell. In such a wide and rapidly changing market, where customers are continually looking for solutions to their manufacturing challenges, the Matrixx approach to providing new and innovative compounds, tailored to customers requirements, will provide additional breadth to our current plastics product portfolio and further benefits to our customers.”

The European plastics market is a major focus for Azelis which has specialist expertise and established market presence in engineering plastics, polymers and additives.

Azelis will market and sell Matrixx products throughout Europe, with the exception of Germany, Spain and France where existing distributor arrangements are in place. Products will be produced from a 20,000 ton capacity plant in Marcaria, Italy. This capacity is set to double in Q1, 2007.
