Metafoam Set Up Dedicated Prototyping and Production Plant

Metafoam® Technologies proudly announces that it has acquired its own equipment for the prototyping and production of metal foams. As such, the Company is setting up its new plant in the Montreal Metropolitan Area.

This will allow Metafoam to meet the demand for its metal foam solutions. The electronics cooling industry has shown enthusiasm for solutions developed by the Company. Metal foam components are used notably in vapor chambers, heat pipes as well as in thermosyphons for 1U, 2U and 4U servers. The new production facility will also facilitate the Company answers a growing demand from other industries.

Up until now, Metafoam has been housed at the Crossroads for Industrial Materials Innovation (CIMI) and benefited from the prototyping facilities of the National Research Council Canada (NRC) in the Montreal area, precisely in Boucherville. The headquarters and manufacturing site will now be established at 4155, boulevard Matte in Brossard, Quebec as of from June 1st.
