Texas Petrochemicals Commissions New Facility

Texas Petrochemicals, Inc., a leading petrochemical company specializing in the production of valued added products derived from C4 and C3 hydrocarbons, today announced it has started the commissioning of its new nonene and propylene tetramer facility in Baytown with start-up and initial plant operations expected to begin by the end of July.

TPC's Baytown Operations, which will expand the Company's product portfolio, include a two-train, world-scale facility that will produce nonene and propylene tetramer as well as polymer gasoline and propane. The majority of the facility's output is already committed to customers under long-term contracts.

"The expansion of our Baytown Operations and the completion of this project is a significant milestone for the Company and marks an important step in servicing our customers' needs," said Charles Shaver, president and CEO of TPC.
