Alcan Take Sole Ownership of Aluminium Dunkerque Smelter

Alcan announced on December 30th, that they had acquired the remaining 65% share in the Aluminium Dunkerque smelter, located in Dunkerque, France for 248 million Euros.

Alcan acquired the original 35% share in Aluminium Dunkerque through their acquisition of Pechiney, purchasing the remaining shares from financial partners.

The Aluminium Dunkerque smelter has an annual capacity of 250,000 tonnes.
