DuPont and Bayer Open World's Largest PBT Plant

DuPont and Bayer recently opened DuBay, a world-class manufacturing site in Uentrop, Germany. The plant, which will produce polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), is the largest of its kind. It will be operated by DuBay Polymer GmbH – a joint venture between Bayer and DuPont.

"This investment confirms our long-term commitment to DuPont™ Crastin® and the role of the business as a part of the global growth strategy of Engineering Polymers. The shared production from this plant, reaping the benefits from economies of scale, will strengthen each partners position in the highly competitive global marketplace for PBT," said Ferdinand Bauerdick, DuPont Engineering Polymers.
