The PolyVISC Automated Polymer Viscosity Testing System from Cannon Instruments

Ron Lutz from the Cannon Instrument Company introduces us to the PolyVISC system which is used by polymer and petrochemical companies in research and development and quality control applications.

The PolyVISC can determine relative, intrinsic, and inherent viscosities and uses an air bath, system as opposed to water bath systems, which offers very good stability. It can operate in the temperature range from ambient to 100°C.

The computer-controlled system can cater to 11 samples at once and is automated, so once set, does not require further user intervention. The system also incorporates the automated solution preparation system which removed operator error from sample preparation.
