New Product : ERL-4140 Monomer for UV Curing Resins

ERL-4140 cycloaliphatic epoxide monomer is a new product just released by Dow. It has been designed for use in UV-curing resins.

It contains an ester capable of alcoholysis or transesterification reactions with various alcohols and polyols, making it suitable for wide variety of specialty resins.

This new monomer will enable formulators to design their own custom resins to suit their own requirements. Such applications may include thermal and UV-cured coatings, composites, electrical insulators, adhesives, acid scavengers and chemical intermediates.

ERL-4140 cycloaliphatic epoxide monomer is the most recent addition to Dow’s Cyracure range of resins, a range that it inherited when they merged with Union Carbide. The addition of ERL-4140 offers consumers of Cyracure resins the opportunity to tailor their resins to their specific needs.
