Can you please tell us about your compnay.
We are a eighth generational company that was founded a hundred seventy four years ago. We are the oldest manufacturer of precision balances in Germany, maybe in the world. A family business with around a hundred twenty employees working here, doing worldwide business with dealers. We never work with the end users directly.
We have ranges starting with small pocket balances, up to crane scales with fifteen tons. There is a big choice. Additionally, we have a full range of medical scales for doctors and hospitals, rehabilitation, anything in their market.
We also have a new range of microscopes and other optical products. We started this business three years ago, and we have been quite successful so far.
We have a daughter company which is called "Sauter". It produces industrial testing equipment.
One of the strengths that we have is our delivery time. Three years ago we built a new logistics center. This is where we supply all of our products. That means our dealers never have none of their own stuff. They are fine until two o'clock in the afternoon when we are getting the orders that we supply on the same day.
So they don't need to worry about buying goods and not being able to sell them?
We have the stock and they can order from our stock and they deliver directly to the industrial line. It is very easy way to do business. There is no risk for the dealers. That is another one of the biggest strengths we have. One of the biggest, I would say ranges, what we offer fast delivery time and I would say a really reasonable price.
Are there any specific products you are show casing her at ACHEMA 2018?
Touch screens - young people don't know how to press a button, they only know how to use a touch screen! Moreover, this new generation of balances has enormous memory for apps, recipes, product specifications, etc., which facilitates daily work tremendously. These are the type of new products that we are launching.
