Tradeshow Talks with Analox

Can you give an introduction to Analox as a company?

Analox started in 1981. Our chairman started in his garden shed making the oxygen sensors and now we're a company of 76. We've got two divisions. Military division and commercial division. I look after the commercial division and we're looking at things like labs, beverage, breathing air, commercial diving. So, lots of different industries. Obviously, a huge focus this year is labs. Everything is manufactured in the office, which is really nice. You've got R&D, design, sales production. Everything's manufactured there. It comes out in the UK.

What kind of projects is your military division working on?

We do stuff for atmosphere. Analyzing on submarines. We do things going into space and aerospace. We have huge projects with the MOD, Navy's around the world. So, a huge part of our business.

For your more commercial focused technology, what is it that you think sets Analox's sensors apart from the rest?

We manufacture the CO2 sensors in house, that's all our own technology. They have been around now over 20 years. The oxygen sensors as well, have an extremely long life. Maybe seven plus years we've got at the moment on our new product the A60 plus. So, there's constantly things being developed and improved. Projects going on a lot of existing products as well as the new stuff. If anyone comes to us with an inquiry, then we'll always look. We've got the research and design in house. We can always look to see if we can meet what they need.
