Dow provide a broad portfolio of silicon products to a wide insustry base. Our silicon can be found in high tech applications, such as the automoive industry, to consumer products. We're here to promote silicon for the wearable electronics market.
Could you tell us more about the products you are showcasing?
We are demonstrating several different complex designs of liquid silicon rubber for wearable devices. We want to show everyone how comfortable they are. Liquid silicon rubbers are completely flexible, safe and non-irritating. In addition to this, the adhesives that we use are very gentle meaning the wearables can be applied to the skin, removed and repositioned without pulling on any hairs or causing any discomfort.
Who is your target audience?
Any company that wants to develop wearable devices would benefit from working with us. We’re currently working with companies who are developing wearables for health monitoring and drug delivery.
What sets you apart from other wearable material providers?
We help our customers with their designs and provide modern materials. We work together with our customers to make sure we use materials with the right properties for a functional final device.
For example, when you look at adhesives, of which there are many, we can help customers choose the right solution for their application. Wwe might have six or seven and it's really trying to help based on what you need, is finding the actual right solution by modifying or adjusting it appropriately.
