Titanium Alloys - Ti4.5Al3V2Mo2Fe Physical and Mechanical Properties

Chemical Formula

Ti4.5Al3V2Mo2Fe

Background

Also known as SP 700, this beta rich alpha-beta alloy has been developed to offer superplastic properties that are superior to Ti6Al4V. Its low flow stress and fine microstructure result in superplastic formability at temperatures as low as 700°C (1290°F). This is combined with an excellent range of mechanical properties coupled with good response to heat treatment, cold forming and hot forging.
