Polyamide 6-6 - Nylon 6-6 - PA 6-6 Fire Retardant

Polymer Type

Thermoplastic

Advantages

Excellent resistance to flame and fire (UL = V0>1.5). Very low rate of flame propagation. Non-burning/self extinguishing.

Disadvantages

Reduced values of tensile strength, modulus, and elongation at break and notched impact strength compared with unmodified polyamide 6/6. The natural colour is a reddish brown or black.
