Fabrication and Heat Treatment

Soldering, brazing, oxyacetylene welding, gas shielded arc welding, spot welding, seam welding and butt welding are considered as suitable welding processes, whereas coated metal arc welding is not recommended for UNS C46500 alloys.
The hot forgeability rating of UNS C46500 is 90 with the preferred hot working temperature being between 649 and 816°C (1200 and 1500°F).
