UNS C64200 Aluminium / aluminum silicon bronze alloy has good anti-galling and anti-seizing properties, free-machining properties, high corrosion resistance, and good hot formability. It is available as rod and flat products.

Fabrication and Heat Treatment
Machinability
The machinability rating of UNS C64200 bronze alloy is 60.
Welding
UNS C64200 bronze alloy can be welded using brazing, coated metal arc welding, gas shielded arc welding, seam welding, butt welding, and spot welding methods. It is suggested that soldering and oxyacetylene welding methods should not be used for welding this alloy.
Forging
TUNS C64200 bronze alloy can be forged at temperatures ranging from 705 to 872°C (1300 to 1600°F). Hot forgeability rate of UNS C64200 bronze alloy is 80.
Hot Working
UNS C64200 bronze alloy has good hot forming capacity.
Cold Working
UNS C64200 bronze alloy has poor cold working capacity.
Annealing
Annealing of the UNS C64200 bronze alloy can be performed at temperatures ranging from 594 to 705°C (1100 to 1300°F).
Applications
UNS C64200 bronze alloy is mainly used in valve and pump components for industrial process streams, high strength fasteners, marine equipment, and pole line hardware.
