Bodycote Testing, the worldwide testing group, has increased its share ownership of Warrington Fire Research (Aust) Pty Ltd, the Australian fire safety engineering and testing company, from 51% to 100%, as part of its major plan for growth in the Asia region.
The company, which has Fire Safety Engineering offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane as well as a Fire Testing Laboratory in Melbourne, will now be known as Bodycote Warringtonfire (Australia) Pty Ltd.
Paul England, previously Managing Director of Warrington Fire Research (Aust) will take on a new role as Regional Business Development Director for Bodycote Testing Group (Asia), which will include supporting and helping expand the business.
Tim Cornes, Divisional Director, Bodycote Warringtonfire said: “The acquisition of Warrington Fire Research (Aust) Pty will enable greater development for the business in both its local and surrounding markets. The staff of WFRA has achieved significant growth in the last few years, maintaining high technical standards and competency in their markets. As a result the business is in great shape and ready for expansion.”
