Rexam to Sell Four Thin Walled Plastics Operations to RPC Group

Rexam have reached an agreement that will see them sell off four of its European thin wall plastics operations to RPC Group Plc, a manufacturer of plastic packaging products. The purchase price for the four plants is £16.2 million.

The sale includes plants in:

  • Hereford in the UK
  • Troyes in Francs
  • Antwerp in Belgium
  • As in the Czech Republic

These plants manufacture injection moulded and solid phase pressure formed tubs and lids for packaging spreads for the dairy industry.

Rexam will concentrate its plastic containers business on proprietary thermoforming (RTF) technologies and PET/PEN bottles.
