Globally More than 282 Million Cubic Meters of Wood Panel to be Consumed by 2010

The recent drop in new housing construction in the US has resulted in good bargains for structural wood panels and other engineered wood products as against the recent past, when demand and supply of such products had become tight. With supply exceeding demand, the products are available at a lower price than in the past. Despite rising energy costs and worldwide competition, the European wood panels market is expected to record growth in consumption and production.
