AERT Starts Its Largest Plastics Recycling Plant

Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc., a leader in plastic recycling and wood composite technology, today announced that the Company has recently commenced operation of its largest plastic recycling plant to date.

The facility, located in Lowell, Arkansas, cleans and processes recycled polyethylene plastics from a variety of industrial and post consumer sources. The recycled plastics are then transferred to the Company's extrusion and manufacturing facility in nearby Springdale, Arkansas where they are transformed into composite building materials. These building materials are used in a variety of homebuilding applications ranging from door rails to exterior fascia trim to decking and railing components.

The Lowell facility's capacity is 2 million pounds of recycled plastic materials per week or 100 million plus pounds per year.
