Dominant Semiconductor Release New Primax Series LED for Automotive Industry

DOMINANT’s newest LED product series, Primax, is designed to provide high intensity light output in a very small package. It completes our high-power product portfolio by covering the range between our Power DomiLED and the high power SPNovaLED.

With its high flux output and high luminous intensity, our Primax overruns today’s standard lighting technology and its perception.

The Primax package has a compact size of just 3.5mm (L) x 3.5mm (W) x 1.2mm (H) and is available in red, amber, yellow, blue, true green and white color. It provides a 4000mcd typical luminous intensity at 140mA in amber and red and 5000mcd in yellow. Using InGaN technology, high intensities for blue of 1200mcd typical and true green of 7400mcd typical at 150mA are specified, whereas the white Primax is rated with an excellent 5500mcd typical luminous intensity at 60mA.

This new product line, ISO/TS16949 certified, meets the high quality requirements of the automotive industry. The small package outline and high intensity, paired with an excellent efficiency provided by our PRIMAX series give prove of being the ideal choice for backlighting, signage and decorative lighting. This outstanding LED series also enhances and supports to a great extend creative illuminations in General Lighting and Channel Lighting applications.
