Textron Divest Shares in 2 Joint Ventures

As part of its ongoing effort to divest non-core assets, Textron Inc. today announced the sale of InteSys Technologies' 50 percent stake in two Brazilian-based joint ventures to its venture partner, Metegal Telecom Participacões Ltda. Both joint venture companies provide engineered assemblies for the Brazilian telecommunications industry. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

InteSys, a division of Textron's Greenlee business unit, is a provider of plastic and metal engineered assemblies for a variety of end-markets, including the telecommunications, medical and computer/business machines industries.
