TMK Runs Successful Test on FMC Premium Threaded Casing

TMK announces that its FMC premium threaded casing was successfully run and tested in a 2,385 meter horizontal gas well in the Vankor field.

TMK-Premium Service, a division of TMK specialising in production and supply of premium connections to the oil and gas sector, tested the Tagmet-produced premium threaded N80-Q FMC casing in Eastern Siberia.

In addition to the complex downhole environment that characterises Rosneft's Vankor development, harsh climatic conditions were also present during casing running operations with daytime temperature dipping to as low as -37 Celsius.

TMK began supplying Rosneft with premium threaded FMC casing in 2008. The premium casing is used in the development of Rosneft's Vankor field, one of the key fields scheduled to supply the Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean Pipeline

"TMK expects that this latest TMK Premium success will continue to tighten the gap between imports and domestic production in this high value-added segment" - TMK-Premium Service director Sergey Chetverikov said.
