LyondellBasell Industries announced today it was named among the top 10 suppliers in 2008 by Ashland China in recognition of the Asia Chemicals team's outstanding achievements in product quality and supply consistency in the past few years.
LyondellBasell is a leading manufacturer of chemicals and derivatives, including ethylene, styrene, propylene, propylene oxide and propylene glycol. Propylene Glycol Industrial Grade (PGI) is used to produce unsaturated polyester resins for various Fiber Reinforced Plastics (FRP) and Non-FRP products which are widely used in infrastructure projects, housing and other industrial components.
Ashland China, a subsidiary of Ashland, Inc., which is a world leading specialty chemical company, established its Changzhou, China plant to produce Unsaturated Polyester Resin (UPR). LyondellBasell supplies Ashland China with PGI and DPGI for polyester reaction in UPR manufacturing.
