Brunei Introduce Polymeric $50 and $100 Bills

Following the introduction of polymeric $1, $5 and $10 bills in 1996, Brunei are introducing polymeric $50 and $100 bills. The introduction of the new bills coincides with the Sultan of Brunei’s 58th birthday celebration.

The new polymeric bills are also being introduced as un upgrade to the existing paper bills. They have the advantage that they are more durable and have increased security features, making them harder to counterfeit.
