The Titan® Trap from SP Industries Inc. is the first cold trap to incorporate a titanium helical coil design and Teflon coated stainless steel chamber, to provide maximum efficiency for vacuum trapping of corrosive vapours down to -100°C.
Traditionally scientists have used dry ice cold traps to remove corrosive vapours but adding dry ice and frequently emptying the cold trap is a chore. As well as being incredibly simple to use and offering superior vapour trapping capabilities the Titan refrigerated cold trap has been designed to run with minimal operator attention and only needs infrequent cleaning.
Available in a choice of ultra-compact units with up to 8 litres of surface area - Titan Traps offer capacity to trap up to 5 litres of condensate in 24 hours. A coated glass dome top enables the user to determine when the trap should be emptied. The Titan Trap is the perfect product for protecting oil-sealed vacuum pumps, evaporators and dryers and for applications including gel drying and dehydration of gas streams.
Optional microprocessor control enables automated operation, including system alerts, vacuum pump activation, auto defrost routines, and digital temperature and vacuum displays.
