RPC Offer Thermoformed Preprinted Lids

RPC Bebo Nederland has enhanced its service to its long established customer Zwanenberg Food Group, by supplying square thermoformed tubs and pre-printed lids for its range of pâtés sold under the Linera and Bob de Bouwer (Bob the Builder) brands.

RPC Bebo Nederland proposed the use of pre-printed lids from RPC Bebo Plastik, in order to provide cost savings and an enhanced appearance for the pâtés from Zwanenberg Food Group, one of Europe's leading producers of deli meats and meat preserves.

Previously the lids for the tubs were manufactured in PS/PETG and labelled, but the customer was keen to achieve a higher quality decorative effect for a more attractive appearance on-shelf, as well as to improve cost efficiencies in the packing process.

Custom-designed pre-printed lids in PP from RPC Bebo Plastik provided a cost-effective solution. The entire surface area of the lid, including the rim, can be printed, and this offers increased decoration possibilities, while advanced printing techniques enable intricate and colourful graphics to be created.

Equally important, the packs are stocked and displayed in the chill cabinet and the pre-printed lids from RPC are more robust and able to withstand the lower temperatures without cracking.

"The Zwanenberg reputation is based on the quality of our products and it is vital that this is reflected in the packaging as well," comments Roelof ter Maat of Zwanenberg Food Group. "The pre-printed lids from RPC have enhanced the look and image of the pâté range while at the same time delivering valuable cost and handling benefits."
