Linde Recognizes BASF as Best Electronic Material Supplier

The Linde Gases Division’s global electronics business provides reliable, consistent and competitive electronic material products to the global semiconductor and photovoltaic markets.

Suppliers are crucial in the provision of the high-quality and cost-effective materials and services expected by our customers and, as valued partners, Linde’s suppliers help to ensure growth in an ever-changing and competitive global environment.

Each year Linde carries out a comprehensive supplier performance review across all its major electronic materials providers, and is therefore delighted to present the 2009 Linde Global Supplier Performance Award to BASF as the best performing supplier of the year.

“Suppliers play a critical role in our success. With enduring commitment, continuous quality improvement and cost efficiency in supporting our electronics business, such partnerships enable us to grow together and continue to lead in the global electronics market,” said Peter Owen, president of electronics at Linde Gases Division.

BASF has been recognised for their contributions to Linde’s electronics business including outstanding products and services, enabling structured contingency planning through an additional ammonia supply plant and the expansion of their service network, particularly across Asia. In addition BASF are commended for their proactive communication and support globally.

“Despite the challenges of the recent downturn, we have continued to receive excellent support from our suppliers. We would like to take this opportunity to recognise their efforts and show our appreciation,” said Andrew Lau, head of supply management for Linde's electronic gases business.
