Anglo Platinum Joint Venture Fully Operational

The joint venture between Anglo Platinum and African Rainbow Minerals, established in August of 2001 is now fully operational. The mine has resulted in a capital expenditure of R1.6billion.

The 50:50 joint venture, known as Modikwa Platinum Joint Venture is mining the farms at Maandagshoek on the eastern limb of the Bushveld complex. At full production, the mine will produce 162,000 ounces of refined platinum
