Ceilume, manufacturers of state-of-the-art decorative ceiling tiles, today announced the launch of its sustainable ceiling tile collection. The tiles are made from the company's new Ceilume-P40-Plus, a proprietary material with 60% recycled content (40% post-consumer, 20% pre-consumer) which diverts soda and water bottle waste from landfills.
Ceilume Sustainable tiles set a new standard for environmental responsibility in the ceiling tile industry, and received recognition by the 2010 American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Bloom Awards in the Innovative Materials category.

In addition to using 80% less material than conventional tiles, Ceilume Sustainable tiles are fully returnable at the end-of-use for rebirth as new ceiling tiles. This free return program offers a true, closed-loop lifecycle while promoting sustainability and encouraging resource stewardship among consumers. The eco-friendly tiles are also Class A fire Rated, UV inhibited, and GreenGuard Environmental Institute approved in the Indoor Air Quality and Children & Schools categories. In addition, they contribute to LEED MR Credit 2, LEED MR Credit 3 and LEED MR Credit 4.

The Ceilume Sustainable collection offers six of Ceilume's most popular decorative styles, ranging in price from $1.56 to $4.43 per square foot. Available in 2' x 2' tiles and 2' x 4' panels, Ceilume sustainable ceiling tiles can be used in both grid-mount and direct-mount installations.
The recycled content of the sustainable ceiling tiles provides a high reflectance finish, reducing lighting costs and conserving energy.
