Ashland’s brand, Valvoline has introduced a new product portfolio of high-performance hydraulic oils, transmission fluids, gear oils and engine oils called UltraMax to enhance the operating life of off-highway devices and engines.
The Director of Commercial & Industrial Marketing at Ashland, Peter Thomson stated that the UltraMax is specifically designed for off-highway operators to reduce their inventories, downtime and expenditures. It offers optimal performance retention for the entire fluid life. It reduces wear and thus improves the operating life of the engine and equipment components.
The UltraMax TDTO TO-4M fluid’s all-temperature protection feature eliminates the requirements of seasonal oil modifications. It also complies with the criteria of ZF TE-ML03 for utilization in ZF torque converter transmissions in specialty vehicles, lift trucks, off-road machines and city buses.
Eaton and Valvoline are the joint developers of the UltraMax Hydraulic Fluid that surpasses the performance criteria required by Joy Mining, BOSCH Rexroth, Cincinnati Machine, Denison, Eaton and others. The laboratory and field results have demonstrated that the UltraMax Hydraulic Fluid meets or exceeds other available fluids in the market.
The UltraMax Transmission & Drive Train Oil safeguards components against oxidation, corrosion and rust, foaming and gear wear. It is developed to meet the criteria of Komatsu, Allison C-4 and Caterpillar TO-4M. It offers better high-temperature-film thickness, exceptional deposit and wear protection, and low-temperature pumpability for protection against wear under adverse loading circumstances.
