Kadant’s Subsidiary Secures Order for Stock-Preparation Equipment in UK

Kadant Lamort SAS, a subsidiary of Kadant, has secured a $6 million worth order from a UK-based specialty packaging and paper manufacturer to deliver stock-preparation equipment.

Kadant, headquartered in Westford, Massachusetts, is one of the leading suppliers of fluid-handling, stock-preparation, water-management and doctoring systems to the worldwide pulp and paper industry.

Kadant’s system will be mainly utilized for recycling coated paper board and will also be used for processing a wide range of pre-consumer as well as post-consumer waste such as mixed office grades and poly-coated board.

Kadant’s President and CEO, Jonathan W. Painter stated that the company is happy to be chosen for the UK project. The client conducted a number of tests at different locations across the world and finally selected Kadant as a preferred supplier for the project. The company’s equipment has the capacity to generate superior quality pulp for use in multi-ply boxboard production. Kadant was also selected based on its system layout and compact design.
