Applied Plastics, a pioneer in the development of electrostatically applied powder coatings, announced that the company offers motor stator stacking service.
Motor Stator Stacking Coating
The service includes application of a thin, reliable blue epoxy coating for electrical protection and precise control of lamination alignment.
The Multilaminate Stacking and Coating service is mainly developed for gyroscopes, stators and motors. It produces components with maximum electrical resistance of 1,000 V/mil. Magnesil or Arnon 7 high carbon steel can be used for metal laminations and the coatings provided include nylon, Heresite, PTFE Teflon and epoxy.
Applied Plastics’ motor stator stacking service accurately maintains lamination alignment in the range of ±0.0005". The service comprises deburring and blue epoxy coating applications with thickness varying from 0.002" to 0.005". Applied Plastics' service is suitable for laminations ranging from 3/8" to 8" O.D. and their smoothness helps to eliminate wire cuts as well as shorts.
