TenCate Defense & Tactical has been awarded a major order to supply TenCate Defender M fabrics for the Army Combat Pants.
The development of the new TenCate Defender M fabrics represents the company’s commitment to continuous enhancement of the durability, comfort and protection of its advanced materials. They are more durable and enhance the performance of the pants. The fabric line includes TenCate Defender M Stretch, a durable stretch flame resistant (FR) fabric.
Propper International, Crye Precision and Massif Mountain Gear have received contracts from the US army to buy the Army Combat Pants made of TenCate Defender M fabrics. These pants are particularly designed for soldiers in the Afghan theatre and are expected to provide additional durability and comfort under rigid conditions in the rough landscape of the Afghan mountains. In addition, they also offer extra flame resistant protection that is required to minimize burn injuries during IED attacks.
TenCate Defense & Tactical has begun the production process to deliver the FR fabric for the Army Combat Pants. The pants made of TenCate Defender M fabrics are anticipated to be in use in the Afghan theatre in the beginning of 2012. Goodwill Industries and Ready One will receive grants from a Federal Procurement Listing (FPL) to produce the Army Combat Pant.
