Dow Corning Extends Product Offering through XIAMETER Business Model

Dow Corning is enhancing its product offering through the XIAMETER business model. The new product line includes silicone fluids, liquid silicone rubbers, emulsions, antifoams, rubber bases, catalysts, primers and modifiers.

The new product line is used by various industries such as construction, personal care, automotive, textile and energy and offers desirable characteristics such as adhesion, resistance to weather, stability and durability.

The XIAMETER business model provides functionality and choices to its customers and other facilities such as choice of credit term, tracking orders and transparent pricing. It also carries out procurement related activities. Local distributors who handle XIAMETER products can customise or personalise their products according to the needs of the customers. With the introduction of the XIAMETER business model Dow Corning has spread out its products that were initially sold under the Dow Corning brand and helped customers to purchase its high quality standard silicones products online at prices that are based on market factors. According to the Vice President and Executive Director of XIAMETER Jeroen Bloemhard the company is continuing to expand its product line since products have matured due to product life cycle and customers are looking for more innovative ways to purchase the company’s silicone products.
