Hempel’s Protective Coatings for Wind Turbines Acquires Frost+Sullivan Award

Hempel has been recognized for the 2011 Frost & Sullivan award for product line strategy. Hempel was awarded on the basis of the market analysis conducted by Frost & Sullivan for the protective coatings in wind turbines.

Hempel has manufactured a waterborne system to deal with the increasing ecological issues and requirements of customers. The company manufactures a series of waterborne anti corrosive products and offers a wide range of cost effective wind turbine coating products that use polyaspartic, zinc silicate, polyurethane and epoxy. The high end epoxies perform better, are resistant to abrasion and have rapid curing ability. The rapid curing process enables the usage of two coating systems or even a single coating system rather than using a three coating system.

The company follows the industrial practices for the protective coatings. The coatings are UV stable, durable and minimizes volatile organic compounds (VOC). The company will ensure that global customers are using the same precursor and formulation conditions for maintaining its internal quality.

The ultra high solid and speed (UHSS) system and other systems that has been introduced in the company has created a niche in the market and paved the way for the establishment of the company in the industry. The company’s expertise in providing a total customer support has enhanced its business.

Frost & Sullivan award is presented every year to the company that provides more importance to the customer requirements. The award is bestowed to the company that demonstrates high performance in strategic product development, customer service, technological innovations and leadership qualities in both local and worldwide markets.
