Extrusion Dies Industries (EDI), a designer and manufacturer of coating heads, extrusion dies, and associated products for cast film, coatings, laminates and sheet manufacturers, has announced the purchase of Premier Dies, a designer and producer of flat polymer and slot coating extrusion dies based in Chippewa Falls, WI. EDI is Bertram Capital’s portfolio company.
Kevin Yamashita, Partner at Bertram stated that Premier has gained a well-known place in the worldwide market. The two market leaders, Premier and EDI have collaborated and have formed a new company, which is meant for growth using its extensive product portfolio, manufacturing capability, high design potential and continuous association with the customer.
Premier has widened the EDI's product offerings of extrusion and fluid coating products and has expanded the international service network and sales of EDI. It has increased its potential to enable continuous growth and operates a modern manufacturing plant that includes a customer trial laboratory, and helps various end markets including food & beverage, medical, electronics, personal care, flexible packaging, coating, alternative energy, pharmaceutical, building products, optical films and other consumer products.
