PPG Industries has released a brochure titled ‘Quick-Ship Color Selector,’ featuring in-stock, ready-to-supply powder coatings in 112 well-known clear, conventional and military colors.
The 8-page booklet is arranged by five typical resin chemistry formulations, namely epoxy-, epoxy/polyester hybrid-, polyester-, urethane- and acrylic-based coatings. The products featured in the brochure include ENVIRACRYL and ENVIROCRON coatings and various premium performance products, which are utilized to protect and decorate heavy-duty construction and agricultural equipment, architectural products, appliances, consumer electronics, motorcycles, trailers, rail cars and other types of transportation.
Other general-purpose applications include displays, bins, racks, fitness equipment, outdoor and metal furniture, faucets, and plumbing fixtures. Technical Marketing Manager for industrial coatings at PPG Industries, Vince Plavecsky stated that the brochure helps customers to easily select and order required powder coatings. In several cases, customers do not know about the availability of in-stock powder coatings offered by the company. PPG wants to inform customers about the availability of different resin chemistries, colors, and special effects like metallics and chrome silvers so that the company can quickly ship the products to them as it receives their orders.
Most of the industrial manufacturers prefer powder coatings because of their environmental attributes, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, durability and hardness. Power coatings hardly release any volatile organic compounds during application or production as they do not contain solvents.
