Jinxin Glass Selects Air Products as Supplier of Integrated Oxy-Fuel Solution

Jinxin Glass based in Jiyuan, Henan Province, China, has inked a deal to procure Air Products’ integrated oxy-fuel solution to optimize quality and productivity and decrease emissions in its glass production.

Jinxin produces pharmaceutical borosilicate glass utilizing coal oven gas for domestic and international markets. The company had been seeking a suitable solution to replace the conventional air-fuel combustion technology utilized in its glass melting process to fulfill the Jiyuan government’s emissions standards. Challenging emission diminution targets have been set by the Jiyuan government for all industries, which include the glass production industry.

The integrated oxy-fuel solution comprises the delivery of a PRISM vacuum swing adsorption (VSA) oxygen generator and Cleanfire HRi oxy-fuel burners. The PRISM VSA oxygen generator produces oxygen reliably and economically. Moreover, Jinxin receives furnace commissioning and associated on-site consulting services from Air Products.

Asia Industry Manager for Glass at Air Products, Richard Huang commented that as a major provider of oxy-fuel combustion technology, Air Products aids a variety of glass manufacturers to enhance quality and productivity and handle increasingly rigorous environmental regulations. The company is happy for its selection by Jinxin for supplying the integrated oxy-fuel solution, which is the new benchmark for the industry of pharmaceutical borosilicate glass that utilizes coal oven gas. The company’s deal with Jinxin not only allows it grab the opportunities in the glass market in Henan in Central China but also highlights its commitment to help the sustainable development of the Chinese glass market.

In the mean time, Air Products has also inked supply agreements to deliver integrated oxy-fuel solutions to other fiber and borosilicate glass manufacturers in the eastern and southern regions of China.
