Cytec Industries Inc. will promote its range of advanced composite and process material at JEC Americas in Boston, MassachusettsOctober 2 – 4, 2013. Visitors can learn more about Cytec’s composite materials and associated businesses at BoothJ13.
Cytec will highlight MTM®348FR, a new and unique versatile curing epoxy resin prepreg matrix designed for railway applications. MTM348FR offers fire protection on railway vehicles to meet Category HL2 of CEN T45545-2.2013 and HL3 under specific circumstances, has excellent mechanical properties and is ideal for the manufacture of lightweight composite components for both interior and exterior structural and non-structural applications.
Cytec will also showcase its newest corrosion-inhibiting, modified-epoxy bonding primer, BR® 252. The product is specifically formulated to address emerging environmental, health and safety standards. BR252 provides excellent adhesion and corrosion protection and mechanical properties equal to solvent-based primer systems. It is compatible with most 121°C - 177°C curing adhesives and has a wide curing window and long out time.
Finally, Cytec will promote its Extra Wide High Temp Nylon Film and co-ex film capability, specifically developed to meet the needs of the aerospace and wind energy markets. Indeed this film can run as wide as 4.7 meters LFT / 9.4 meters sheets for co-ex film and enables the manufacturing of significantly larger components much more efficiently (labour, time and material costs).
