Puget Presents Infographic on Impact and Future of 3D Printing

Puget Technologies, an emerging leader in 3D printers and related technologies, has released an infographic to illustrate the impact and future of 3D printing. The infographic, which is presented on the Puget Technologies website, was developed as the company makes preparations to roll out the IdeaWerk high performance 3D printer in the domestic US through its newly formed subsidiary, Weistek USA.

As the Internet transformed the way people communicate and share information, 3D printing will change the way products are manufactured, replacing the nearly 100-year mass-production model that defined the industrial revolution.

The 3D revolution is unique in another way, in that it will primarily take place in average American homes, small businesses and schools.

“While 3D printing in industrial and commercial settings initially drove industry growth, this amazing technology is now within reach of individual consumers and small businesses,” said Ron Leyland, President and CEO of Puget Technologies. “With its fully featured, high performance products, Weistek USA is poised to become a leading manufacturer of personal 3D printers.”

While the technology is still in its infancy, every day innovators are already manufacturing a wide variety of products such as iPhone cases, children’s toys, wearable art and replacement parts for household appliances. 3D technology reduces the barriers to entry for individual entrepreneurs, giving them the ability to develop and test models with low financial risk.
