Evonik’s Oil Additives team has developed a new formulation for wind turbine gear oil based on VISCOBASE®, its fully- synthetic, high viscosity base stock.
“The novel formulation combines VISCOBASE® with high performance base stock and readily available additives to make a strong technical and commercially viable market offering,” said Dr. René Koschabek, Oil Additives global marketing manager for industrial oils at Evonik.
Evonik’s Oil Additives team will attend the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) Wind Power Conference and Exhibition at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada on May 5-8. The Oil Additives team will discuss how VISCOBASE® technology enhances lubricant offerings to the wind power industry.
Evonik’s Oil Additives team recently attended the World Wind Energy Conference on April 7-9 in Shanghai, China and the ILMA Management Forum on April 10-12 in North Miami Beach, Florida where they spoke with oil marketers about the formulation for wind turbine gear oil applications.
