BASF Automotive Refinish to Exhibit at 2014 NACE / CARS Expo

BASF Automotive Refinish will exhibit and present its latest products and processes at the 2014 International Autobody Congress and Exposition Expo & Conference (NACE / CARS) – the largest North American conference and exhibition dedicated to the auto collision and service repair industries – from July 30 through August 2 at Cobo Center in Detroit.

The company will also host autograph sessions on July 31 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. and August 1 from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. with the star of Overhaulin’ and owner of Foose Design, Chip Foose. A restyled Wes Rydell 1954 Chevy “Cool Air” Bel-Air from Foose painted in BASF’s Glasurit® 90-Line will be on display at the BASF booth #18008.

In addition, Chip Foose is conducting a paint demonstration with BASF Glasurit 90-Line on Friday, August 1 at noon in Cobo Center.

As part of the conference program, Hans Kempf, Training Manager from BASF, will discuss Advanced Color Adjustment Tools & Techniques on Friday, August 1. BASF will also sponsor the Collision Repair Executive Symposium (CRES), held on Friday, August 1 during the expo.

“Collision repair shops always strive to meet top levels of quality and service to retain customers, while also maximizing their output and profitability,” said Vitor Margaronis, Marketing Director, BASF Coatings Solutions. “BASF helps them achieve these goals with customized support solutions, including process improvement assistance, shop training, leading color technology and productivity tools.”

BASF will showcase the newest products and processes that provide the industry with the solutions it needs most. From its revolutionary ONYX™ HD Low VOC Productive System, to a new business performance program – Advanced Process Solutions -- that produces remarkable results for shops across the country, the experts from BASF will be on hand to discuss how innovative products and services help customers improve collision center productivity and grow their bottom line.

The company will also highlight the latest offerings from its Glasurit® and R-M® lines of refinish coatings.

“BASF’s line of R-M® coatings was started in Detroit nearly a century ago,” said Margaronis. “ So while we always look forward to the NACE / CARS Expo, we are especially excited to see it held in Detroit this year, where our automotive business has a long history.”
