Lucideon Publishes ‘Understanding Materials Choices, Their Performance and Selection’ White Paper

Lucideon, the international provider of materials development, testing and assurance, has published a new white paper, ‘Understanding Materials Choices, Their Performance and Selection’.

Over the past 25 years, the progress in material-driven innovations and applications has enabled the global spread of technology and improvements in capability, in every area of business and industry. Central to this progress has been the improvement in the ability to define materials in terms of their composition, structure and performance evaluation. Together with material design and processing, these have been the foundation of successful new material applications.

The white paper sets out to affirm the value of material characterisation in product and process development activities in technology based industries, whilst sustaining the quality of manufacturing output. Also included in the paper, is a selection of techniques, applications and case studies, relevant to a wide range of industries.

Dr Chris Pickles, Consultant to Lucideon and author of the paper, commented:

Innovation in materials selection, development and application has been a feature of the acceleration in industrial achievement for many years. Lucideon has been immersed in this phenomenon, supporting the materials needs of clients throughout their developments. We continue to offer clients the unique combination of technique investment together with the skill and experience of our scientists, analysts, technologists and market aware personnel.
