H.C. Starck Turns up the Heat at Thermprocess 2015

H.C. Starck is turning up the heat at Thermprocess 2015 in Dusseldorf, Germany, June 16-20 with its robust product portfolio produced from technology metals - molybdenum, tungsten, tantalum, niobium and their alloys for a broad range of heat treating applications including vacuum heat treating, sintering, annealing, brazing, and all high temperature furnace applications.

H.C. Starck’s Fabricated Products Division (FPR) is a leading player in the heat treating industry, supplying our products to OEMs, end-users, and aftermarket. We are excited to be working with the top name brand furnace manufacturers on their cutting-edge designs. Through innovative research our engineers have developed new high temperature alloys with superior mechanical and physical properties that benefit our customers. We continue to invest and upgrade our manufacturing and analytical capabilities to better serve our end markets and grow with them,” said Dmitry Shashkov, Member of H.C. Starck's Executive Board and Head of the Fabricated Products Division.

MoLa (Molybdenum-Lanthanum), TZM (Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum), MHC (Molybdenum Hafnium Carbide), and MoW (Molybdenum-Tungsten) are perfect alloys for high temperature furnaces in vacuum, reducing or inert atmospheres.

These high temperature refractory alloyed materials are characterized by their mechanical durability, high ductility and toughness, good thermal and electrical conductivity, low coefficient of thermal expansion, and excellent strength at temperatures in excess of 2000°C. FPR’s complete chemical analysis lab and advanced material modeling and simulation capabilities support the rapid development of new products and processes at H.C. Starck.

Besides supplying products for heat treating applications, H.C. Starck also supports the rapidly growing LED market with products critical to the success of the sapphire crystal-growing industry and MOCVD equipment.
