Austrian-based Plansee have expanded its north American market presence by acquiring Polese Co., based in California, USA.
Plansee acquired 100% of the shares of Polese for an undisclosed sum via its affiliate Schwarzkopf Technologies.
Polese specialises in manufacturing components from high performance materials for the semiconductor and telecommunications industry. They are also a world leader in thermal management for electronic components.
Plansee already have plans in progress for more activity in north America with a powder metallurgy facility being constructed in Pennsylvania that will supply components for shock absorbers. This plant is scheduled to come on line at the end of this year.
